Bob Odenkirk
Bob Odenkirk is an Emmy Award-winning and Tony Award-nominated writer, producer, actor, comedian, and New York Times bestselling author. He is widely acclaimed for his iconic role as Saul Goodman, originating the character in AMC's hit drama Breaking Bad before starring in the title role of the critically acclaimed series Better Call Saul. Running for six seasons, Better Call Saul earned him multiple Emmy nominations, as well as two Critics Choice Television Awards, and a second Peabody award.
In film, Odenkirk established himself as an action lead in Universal's hit action-thriller Nobody, written by Derek Kolstad, and returned to star in and produce the sequel Nobody 2. He also stars in and produces the action-comedy Normal. His additional feature film credits include Steven Spielberg's Oscar-nominated The Post, Greta Gerwig's Little Women, Alexander Payne's Nebraska, and Pixar's Incredibles 2, among others.
Odenkirk co-created and starred in Mr. Show with Bob and David, which ran on HBO for four years (1995-1998) and has been called "the American Monty Python." In 2016, Odenkirk was seen in the 4-part sketch show W/ Bob and David, which he starred in and executive produced with David Cross.
For his work on Saturday Night Live, Odenkirk garnered an Emmy Award for "Outstanding Writing in a Variety or Music Program" in 1989. In 1993, Odenkirk earned another Emmy Award for writing on The Ben Stiller Show.
Odenkirk’s most recent book is a collaboration with his now-grown daughter and son, ZILOT AND OTHER IMPORTANT RHYMES, published by Little-Brown in 2023. The project was an extension of the writing he used to do with the kids when they were small — funny, relatable poems — which they dusted off and polished up, with (Pratt Institute art-school graduate) Erin Odenkirk rendering the illustrations. The book was a New York Times Bestseller and currently resides on the shelves at Barnes and Noble and bookstores all across the nation. Odenkirk’s memoir, COMEDY COMEDY COMEDY DRAMA was released by Random House in 2022, a New York Times Bestseller.
